In Celebration of Creation

I absolutely love delighting in the beauty of God's creation, and Earth day is a great reminder that we all play an important role in caring for what we've been given. I believe this role encompasses many things like enjoying it, marveling in the wonder of it, respecting it, preserving it and thanking God for all He's given us.

This is one of the reasons living simply and minimally appeals to me.

The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it... Psalm 24:1

Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad;
let the se resound, and all that is in it;
let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them.
Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy...Psalm 96:11-12

You will go out in joy
and be led forth in peace;
the mountains and hills
will burst into song before you,
and all the trees of the field
will clap their hands. ~ Isaiah 55:12

The Son is the image of the invisible God,
the firstborn over all creation.
For by him all things were created:
things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible,
whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities;
all things were created by him and for him. ~ Colossians 1:15-16

  3. Beautifully expressed. I agree. That's why I live simply and carefully-to take the best care I can of what God created.
