I just can't seem to stop taking photos of my sunflowers. Not only are they my favorite flower, they are growing in my own backyard! I love that I can look out my window and see them or walk around the garden and watch the bees. It's also quite nice to be able to cut one or two and bring them inside.
Which of the photos is your favorite?
if you look closely, you can see pollen on the bees legs...
I love sunflowers too, they are my favorite!I tried to grow some once and failed, even though they may possibly be the easiest plant to keep alive (so I hear). When I am driving and see a bunch of them I tend to stop and take pictures. People think I'm strange taking pictures of flowers in their yards ;)
ReplyDeleteOh, P.S...I have been having a hard time leaving comments on Compassion Family (its hit and miss, but I assume you know about the issue cause you commented about it the other day...) Anyways, I just wanted to tell you what a great idea that is about the Compassion kits and donations! You are just too clever :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know what to do about the hit and miss thing. If I switch back to regular comments, I lose everything from Intense Debates.... keep trying : )
ReplyDeleteHello Jill,
ReplyDeleteI love them too, sunflowers and tulips! Some years ago I had so many of them. We fed the birds in winter and we found sunflowers everywhere in the garden in summer. I just think the ones I had were yellow, yours seem to be more reddish.
Love your blog!!
Greetings from Luxembourg,
Natacha
Thanks Natacha - and thanks for commenting. I'm hoping for some surprise sunflowers next year.
ReplyDeleteYes...this variety is reddish and brown in color. It was what I happened to have on hand and I'm loving them.
The second pic is my fave, love the pinkish tone to it! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe second one is my favorite, too. I like the unfocused sunflower in the background.
ReplyDeleteI also vote for the second photo =)
