Look closely...do you see something that's not very minimalist?Although I'm far from being a minimalist, I'm on a journey of getting rid of all non-essentials. I've been taking some time this morning to look around at what is claiming space in our house and evaluate the purpose and necessity of each item. I just noticed we have two garbage cans within 10 feet of each other. It just doesn't make sense. Although I do use the one by the desk, I'd like to think I'm not too lazy to walk 10 feet to throw something away.
The benefits of eliminating the garbage can?
1. One less can to empty on garbage day.
2. One less item to move when vacuuming.
3. My body will get a few more steps of exercise.
My motto for the day (week, maybe month)...Just because we have it doesn't mean we need it.
