Visitors

We have all our usual backyard visitors right now - bees, birds and frogs! The frog was a nice surprise, actually. I was in the greenhouse watering my starts and saw a frog nestled in the corner of one of the zucchini plants. I promptly (gently) grabbed him and took him around to my flowers for a photo shoot!

I don't get as excited about the bees - I definitely don't grab them. I'm grateful for what they do - without them I wouldn't have any fruit or veggies to harvest!

Our resident sparrows are growing up. I saw one of the parents feeding one of the babies this week!

Our newest bird feeder attaches to our front window. It took a couple weeks for the birds to find it, or get brave enough to land on it, but now they feed here daily. It's fun to be able to see them a little more closely.

As long as we keep the feeder full, the humming birds are frequent visitors. My 13 yr old daughter took this photo.

  3. I've only seen a green tree frog up at the cabin once. It was resting in a large leaf on my zucchini plant. - Margy
