We started hiking with our girls when they were just babies and we carried them. Some of my fondest family memories come from out time out in nature - on the trail. We've hiked through forests, up mountains, along coasts, on dirt roads, along rivers and off trail. We've played word games, made up stories and told jokes. Now that the girls are older we find ourselves holding friendly debates.
Our most recent hike was in an area near our home - a place we've been exploring for the past 7 years. Winter can be a bleak time, but if you look for it, beauty can always be found.
Love the little bits of natural beauty you found!
ReplyDeleteAh the details you captured are gorgeous, Jill! You have an eye for these details (may have developed this by practicing the violin:)) There are not many things better than enjoying nature together! Thank you for sharing your close bond with each other with All Seasons, as well as with nature. Have a gorgeous week!
ReplyDeleteI fondly remember going camping, hiking and visiting historical sites with my parents when I was young. In the fourth grade we studies the California missions (we lived in Southern California) and they took me to visit every one of the missions so I could see them first hand. - Margy
