In the Garden

This is gardening season marks the 7th year for my current garden. When we moved into this house almost 8 years ago, the front yard was full of overgrown shrubbery and the backyard was completely empty. I bought a few clearance plants that fall and have added to and expanded the garden every year since. I love to see the plants grow and mature each year, and I especially love all the blooms the perennials are producing.

Gardening is a LOT of work, but it's work I enjoy doing. I also love creating a beautiful space that my family can enjoy.

Here are the first photos of my summer garden this year. I'm sure there will be plenty more as the summer progresses and new plants emerge.

  2. Lovely. I'm so not a flower gardener but have a few. So true your words that it's hard work. I start out great then then hate the weeding. Not sure what the creature is in the greenery? A snake maybe or hopefully a frog checking for some delicious insects. Thanks for sharing at Pictorial Tuesday.
