By The River

We spent some time at the Clackamas River this weekend. Two of us were fishing and looking for crayfish...the other two were reading.

This tree and it's amazing roots were our way down to the river.

We spotted a bald eagle....can you see its white head down below?

    1. It's amazing how strong they are....I was a little nervous at first, but then realized the tree wasn't going to budge while we were on it.

  2. That huge tree with the roots exposed is a beautiful sight! And your daughter reading a book there makes it a romantic scene! Many thanks for this inspiring post to enjoy being in nature for All Seasons! Have a great week!

Off the above subject, am asking for your permission to use this tree for the background in one of my paintings? Please let me know, because I'm a stickler for copy rights. Thank you for giving me a comment back.

  3. Some day that tree will get swept away into the river. Looks like every rainy season takes more and more of its support away. - Margy

    1. The tree certainly does have a future in the river, but for now it's pretty cool and serving a purpose of letting people get to the riverside.
