The "Road to Hana" is a very popular tourist attraction on Maui. We were told by some that it was a "must do" and others said it was nice, but not necessary. We were a little curious to see the rainforest/jungle of Maui, so we drove about 1/3 of it. There are many waterfalls you can stop and see, but we live in a land of waterfalls here in the Pacific Northwest so we skipped those.
Instead, we stopped at the Bamboo Forest for a quick (muddy) walk. We didn't stay long...just enough to get a good covering of mud on our shoes and an idea of what this forest was like.

Wow - so cool!
ReplyDeleteI like your shots, looks like an interesting place to me.
ReplyDeleteA different experience from other trees. We have patches of bamboo here in New Zealand and it's like a different world when you get surrounded by them.
