This is the true, inspirational story of friendship, adventure and faith. Best friends, Patrick and Justin, decide to take on the adventure of a lifetime and travel 500 miles of the Camino de Santiago in northern Spain. The twist, however, is that Justin is in a wheelchair and Patrick will be pushing Justin on this seemingly impossible path.
In the book, the two tell the story of their friendship, Justin's diagnosis and how they accomplished such an amazing venture. I really enjoyed hearing how each was challenged and changed by this journey. It was also encouraging to read about other travelers who helped along the way and played a part in the story.
I really enjoy memoirs, especially adventure narratives, and this story was a joy to read.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Tyndale House Publishers in exchange for this review.
My oldest son hiked the Camino with his friend a couple of years ago. He said there were amazing people on the road making the same pilgrimage. I think I might get him this book.
